You can back up multiple projects, reports, report sorts, filters, or configurations at a time using the Backup process.
Note: You can only back up data for projects and files to which you have access. For additional guidelines, see
Backup Guidelines.

Display the Backup dialog box.

On the Backup dialog box, use the
Files of Type field to select the type of data that you want to back up.
The grid displays all files to which you have access based on the type you select. For example, if you select
Projects, the grid displays all available projects to which you have permission to access. You can select multiple files.

If you select a project(s) or a master project(s), select
Include project ancillary files to also back up rate, code, and resource files used in the project(s).

Click
Backup.
- If you select a single file, proceed to Step 5.
- If you select multiple files, proceed to Step 6.

In the Save As dialog box, navigate to the backup folder where you want to save the backup file and click
Save.
- If the file does not exist yet, the Backup Progress dialog box displays and the process proceeds immediately and completes. Proceed to Step 8.
- If a file with the same filename already exists, Cobra prompts if you want to overwrite the existing file. Proceed to Step 7.

In the Browse for Folder dialog box, navigate to the backup folder where you want to save the backup files and click
OK.
- If the files do not exist yet, the Backup Progress dialog box displays and the process proceeds immediately and completes. Proceed to Step 8.
- If a file(s) with the same filename already exists, Cobra prompts if you want to overwrite the existing file(s). Proceed to Step 7.

In the Confirm Save As/Save As dialog box, do one of the following steps:
- Click
Yes or
Yes to All to replace the existing file(s) and proceed with the Backup process. The file(s) in the backup folder will be updated.
- Click
No or
No to All to exclude the current file when running the Backup process. The file(s) in the backup folder will not be overwritten.
Important: As the existing file with the same file name maybe be overwritten, it is recommended that you name your file appropriately and pay attention to where exactly you are saving the backup file.

View Log
to display processing and any error information.
